Now Our Painting Workshop is Even More Affordable!

14 May

Yes, you read right! We have exciting news regarding our Riebeek Kasteel Paint-Away Weekend Workshop!

The two guesthouses where we will be hosting the painting workshop have launched a winter special and we are lucky enough to be able to take advantage of this and extend the offer to painters wishing to join in the fun. We love it if we can help you save some money. Now you will have more cash to treat yourselves to some wine if the desire takes you. Lots of famous artists were known to have a tipple while they worked!

We have however reduced the stay to two nights instead of three, to correlate with the promotion at Old Oak Manor and Shiraz Estate in Riebeek Kasteel, which hence benefits those painters wishing to attend. This all amounts to a reduction of R1395 off the original price for painters. This doesn’t mean they will get less tuition though.

No, not at all – the tutors have designed an exciting program, where they will show painting demos and talk to you about the workshop on the Friday when everybody meets, and will be there to offer each participant loads of personal attention and guidance, according to their level and goals, to enable them to develop their own unique style, during full days of painting on Saturday and Sunday, before everybody departs at around 5.30 to return home inspired! Shortening the workshop to a two-night stay also leaves a whole extra day of the long weekend to enjoy the Monday with your family – if you’re not back at the easel eager to continue practicing what you have learned!

What’ll It all Cost Me Now?

The price now is R2790 per person, including the following:

  1. 2 Nights accommodation, whether you are in a single room or sharing with a friend
  2. 2 Scrumptious Breakfasts on the Saturday and Sunday mornings
  3. 2 Light tasty Lunches
  4. 2 Delicious 2-course Dinners
  5. Morning Tea/Coffee
  6. Art Materials (except easels)
  7. Studio space if the weather is inclement
  8. En Plein-air excursions to beautiful scenic locations
  9. 2 Full days of Tuition and personal guidance from 2 Artists as well as demos and talks on the Friday evening.

It’s a deal indeed! And we have a couple more surprises for you when you get there too!

But we have more…. non painting partners will pay only R200 to share the room with their painting partner! They stay on a Bed & Breakfast basis, where the other meals are for their own account, but they can still enjoy their meals in the restaurant with their partner. They can explore the area, laze in the peaceful surroundings or take the advice of the guesthouse host and visit recommended places of interest in the vicinity. It is a give-away of note for a weekend getaway!

Day Painters are welcome to join at R825 per person/per day and attend on the Saturday and/or the Sunday. They will be able to enjoy morning tea/coffee and lunch with the others as well as receive their art materials, the en plein-air excursion experience and the personal tuition in this price.

Come and share your unique spark with other art lovers, learn some new skills and have fun in a light-hearted but informative environment with artists Karen Longden-Sarron & Liné Ryan.

They’re looking so forward to meeting you! So book now to avoid disappointment.
